In preparation for my MMA fights, I use Jeannie at Milwaukie Massage Therapy for deep tissue massage. Jeannie is an amazing therapist who responds great to the needs of an athlete. I have never felt so healthy and I attribute much of that to Jeannie's massage abilities and knowledge of the body. I would 100% recommend anyone to visit Milwaukie Massage Therapy. Thanks Jeannie!

All sessions consist of a treatment plan designed specifically to meet the needs of each patient. A combination of Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release (MFR), Neuromuscular Techniques and Active/Passive Stretching are used in most sessions along with Hydrotherapy (moist heat and/or ice) when indicated.
Jeannie is also available to provide massage at sport events or chair massage in your place of business, health fairs or special events.
Receiving a sports massage before an event helps the athlete get "pumped up" and ready to compete not only physically but mentally, along with helping prevent muscle spasms and injury during (and after) their performance. Receiving a sports massage after an event can help stretch out any tight and sore muscles as well as relieve muscle cramps and spasms, prevent post event soreness and provide time for the athlete to take a moment to rest, lower their heart rate and take a load off.
